Your files are yours. We built it that way.

The short version

Your documents are processed on your own device — the Android app and the PC software never upload your PDFs to us, and the web PDF tools run in your browser. The one exception is the PDF Downloader, which fetches the Google Drive link you paste, builds your PDF in memory, streams it back, and keeps nothing. Creating an account is optional; if you sign in with Google we store only your name, email and subscription status so Premium works across all your devices. We never sell your data. Free tools are supported by ads (Google AdSense on the web, Google AdMob in the app).

Your documents

• Orb2Bit PDF (Android app). Every operation — viewing, splitting, merging, compressing, watermarking, editing, creating PDFs — runs entirely on your phone. Your files never leave your device. The app keeps a local "recent files" list on your phone only; you can remove entries anytime.
• Orb2Bit PDF (PC software). Processes files locally on your computer — they're never sent to us.
• PDF Downloader (web). The link you paste is sent to our download service so it can fetch the document on your behalf; the file is processed in memory to build your PDF and is not stored or retained afterwards.

Accounts & Google sign-in (optional)

You can use every orb2bit tool without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication). We receive your Google account's name, email address and a unique account ID — never your password. This is stored, together with your subscription status and which platforms you use, in Google Cloud Firestore, so that one Premium subscription unlocks orb2bit on the web, Android and PC at the same time. We store nothing else in your account — no documents, no file names, no usage history.

You can sign out at any time from the app's Profile screen. To delete your account data entirely, email support@orb2bit.com from the signed-in address and we'll remove it.

Subscriptions & payments

The Premium subscription in the Android app is handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never see or store your card number or billing details. We only learn whether your subscription is active, which we record on your account (if signed in) so Premium follows you to the web and PC. You can cancel anytime from Google Play.

Advertising

On the web: some pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

In the Android app: free saves are supported by Google AdMob ads (a rewarded video you choose to watch, or a regular ad). AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's Google settings. Premium subscribers see no ads at all.

What is processed automatically

• Hosting & security logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which may process standard technical data (such as your IP address and the pages requested) to deliver the site securely and reliably. This is normal web-server activity.
• Fonts. We load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser requests it from Google, which may log the request.
• Crash & service data. Google Play and Firebase may report anonymous crash and diagnostic information that helps us keep the app working. It contains no document content.
• Aggregate download count. For our downloadable apps we keep a simple, anonymous tally of total downloads. It contains no personal information.

Children

orb2bit tools are general-purpose utilities and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Responsible use

Our tools are intended for documents you own or are authorised to work with. You are responsible for respecting copyright, the rights of document owners, and the terms of any service you use them with — for example, only remove watermarks from documents that are yours.
